In the summer of 1975, two brothers set up a small wooden cart on a busy roadside in Kerala. They had nothing but a sack of raw peanuts, a charcoal stove, and an ambitious dream to support their family through honest, hard work. Coated in a secret homemade masala blend and cooked slowly, their hot masala peanuts quickly drew crowds of regular tea time customers.
Years later, the cart was packed away, but the recipe remained. Jaanki Vallyamma, the wife of one of the brothers, kept the family tradition alive in her own kitchen. She made the same spiced peanuts for family gatherings, Sunday teas, and neighborhood kids, ensuring the flavors of that humble roadside cart were never forgotten.
Today, the grandchildren have revived this legacy under the name Jaanki Jaane. We still cook in small, careful batches, bringing Vallyamma's kitchen tested recipes and decades of family warmth directly to your home.
